Review of Wicked Wednesday at WSID, 1/11/2006 |
There was an excellent turnout at Western Sydney International Dragway on the first Wednesday of this month with Friday tipped to be even bigger with the debut of Full Throttle Friday. This time we had the camera crew track side shooting footage for the DVD with the in-car camera taking a white-knuckle ride in Julian Barbara’s on the bottle KIL-351 VL Turbo as it skated down the track to make a 10.3 second pass with traction being the biggest issue. It won’t be long before this venture deep into the 9 second zone. David Wilzig was out having a ball in his VS V6 twin turbo ITT-38L and was running consistent very low 10s all night.
It certainly was a popular night for the LS1 boys with a large line up of VYs in the low to mid 13s with a blue and silver VU SS ute with only a exhaust, baby cam, diff gears, OTRCAI and slicks netting him into the low 12 second bracket all night. Keep your eye on this ute in the future when the room in the engine bay gets a little tighter.
