The weather looked bleak before the Holden V’s Ford battle on Australia Day, but before racing could kick off the clouds parted and went their separate ways allowing sunshine to beam down on a massive turnout of Holdens and Fords from all eras. Competitors battled it out in various classes such as Super Sedan, Super Street, Super Gas and Street Fighter brackets to find out who was the quickest for the ultimate in bragging rights. Commodores were surprisingly scarce, with the majority of the bunch being raced in the furiously contested Street Fighter class. The VL Turbo boys were having a blast, with OOH-30T running a blistering time of 9.166 @ 150MPH on only his second outing with the car! MAXPSI was also up there running consistent mid 9’s with GOD-383 flying the flag high for the VL V8 guys running dangerously close to the 10.999 second cutoff.
