Last weekend LS1.com.au hosted a private track day open to anybody who wanted to go along and indulge in some quarter mile magnificence. 60 degree track temps saw some people a little worried about mechanical consequences, but the day went off without too much drama to report.

The day witnessed a variety of cars, with the mod list starting at total stockers to 10 second quarter pounders. LS1.com.au Forum user CarlFST60L had a ball running his total stock E Series R8 Clubsport, managing a very respectable 13.5 @ 102MPH with 55 degree track temps! SS Enforcer was chuffed with his stock VE SS running in a best of 13.46 @ 105MPH. Both with stock exhaust with factory tune!

Many 11 second passes were made despite the less than desirable weather conditions with many of those only done with a head and cam upgrade.

Not every car on the day was powered by a Chev, ‘Miss R’ clocked an amazing 42 passes in her Integra Type R and the Merrano VL Turbo managed a 10.4 second pass before WSID officials had to step in and send him on his way.
